Finalising The Funding Package
The full funding package will need to be in place before a construction contract can be awarded. The Government has already committed just over £14m and the remaining funding is to be met from private sector developers.
The Council will negotiate the optimum funding package to deliver the regeneration objectives as outlined in the Masterplan 
. We will also continue to work with public agencies, such as the Housing Corporation and the Regional Development Agency, to achieve maximum benefits from the scheme.
