The Planning Portal is available to you in association with the Borough of Poole's Planning Design & Control Services. The Planning Portal is intended to provide National advice on planning matters and policies for anyone who wants to find out about the planning system
It is aimed at everyone, from central government and local authorities to planning professionals and the general public.
The Planning Portal offers the latest National Planning News, access to Regulations and Guidance Notes for applications and Appeals Procedure.

- The Planning Portal offers a wide range of services and guidance on the planning system. This is the main entry page into the portal. From here you check if you need planning permission for a development, find jobs in planning in the Careers zone, find out more about planning appeals, and read the latest planning news.

Guide to the Planning System - The Guide section offers a brief introduction to the planning system and some explanation of what planning is for and why it is important to us all.
This section of the Planning Portal is intended for both householders and business people. It explains why planning controls are necessary and how decisions are made.
Online Planning Applications - An alternative route to downloading our application forms is to complete the forms, submit required plans and pay the fee all online via the Portal. Please note that if sending paper versions only 2 copies of forms, drawings and other documents are now required and not 4 as stated on guidance notes and forms.
Policy and Research - The Policy & Research section of the Portal is aimed at planning professionals and those with an in-depth interest in planning policy and reform. (The Borough of Poole's Local Plan and Planning Policies)
