Kingston Road Play Area
The new play area was opened by Poole's Mayor, Cllr Jeff Allen on Friday, 25th May 2007.

This project was for the complete replacement of the play area. The existing configuration has remained largely as it was but with some improved access and safety arrangements. Work started on 5th March and the park was opened for use eleven weeks later.
The upper level remains a dedicated play area for children aged 8 or younger, and the lower area for the 9-14 year olds. In view of the proximity of the play area to local housing equipment has been arranged to deter children playing ball games, and no ball game facilities will be provided.
The new range of play equipment includes some of the very latest designs available, as well as other more traditional items, and the whole area has been covered in colourful safe surfacing.
For older children equipment is both physically challenging and adventurous.
Access to the upper level has been redesigned to include a ramp for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs. Seating and a rubbish bin has been provided at each level.
The play area is locked each day at dusk.
