Food Alerts
Food alerts
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) operates a Food Alert System which advises us about national or regional problems involving hazardous or unsatisfactory food.
These warnings give an account of the problem, details of the batch or batches of food affected, the likely distribution of the product, and the action to be taken.
Traders and members of the public can access current Food Alerts via the Food Standards Agency
website. For further information contact Environmental & Consumer Protection Services using the details below.
The FSA has launched a free Allergy SMS Text Message Service, and Allergy Email Alerts, which will alert people with a food allergy, who have signed up to the services, with an immediate notification that a product may be of risk to them.
You can register to receive automatic notification of new food alerts published on this page
.
You can also get food alert details sent direct to your mobile phone. To get this free service, simply send the text message 'FSA' from your mobile 07866 428260.
