Abandoned Vehicles
We give high priority to protecting the safety of the community and the cleanliness of Poole and will remove burnt out and abandoned vehicles at the earliest opportunity.

There is no legal definition of an abandoned vehicle, however the following points need to be considered before a vehicle is deemed to be abandoned and can be removed:
- Is the vehicle being used?
- Does there appear to be an owner or keeper of the vehicle?
- Is the vehicle taxed
? - Is the vehicle burnt out?
- Does the vehicle contain waste?
- How long has the vehicle has been there?
- Is the vehicle vandalised or damaged? eg. flat tyres, wheels removed or broken windows
- Where is the vehicle located? eg. on private land
