Public Inquiry - Second Harbour Crossing

On the 4th February 2005 the Secretary of State for Transport gave notice of his decision to hold a Public Inquiry into the Council's Transport and Works Act Order Application, the date of which was confirmed as 27th September 2005. The Inquiry was opened by the appointed (by the Secretary of State for Transport) Inspector, Mr C J Tipping MA (Cantab) Solicitor - and held in the conference room, Civic Centre, Poole.

The Inquiry lasted the expected 4 weeks, with evidence being heard from Borough of Poole officers and consulants and key stakeholders in the Full Sail Ahead Project. The Public Inquiry was held between 27th September and 21st October, and the granting of the order and deemed planning permission August 2006.
