Library Membership And Borrowing
Would you like to receive reminder emails when your library items are due?
If you would, then sign up to Library Elf
. The registration procedure is very simple. You will soon become used to receiving reminder emails a short time before the due date.
Your details are not disclosed to any third party - see Elf's Privacy Policy
. You should read this and the FAQs
section of the Elf website before you sign up.
Additionally, it will monitor the progress of items you have reserved online.
You can register more than one library account with the same email address.
The site is currently used by over 40 library services (public and academic) in the UK as well as a large number around the world.
Library Elf
is an external website (not run by the Borough of Poole) - you just sign up, and it checks your library account on your behalf - it sends you an email in time for you to renew the item(s) or return them. If you do nothing, it will send another reminder on the day they are due! You can set your own preferences for reminders within the site.
Of course, if your library card number or PIN changes, or if you change your email address, Elf will not be able to send you accurate information unless you update the details you have registered with Elf.
Poole libraries therefore cannot be held responsible for any failure of the site to notify you, and as you are responsible for all items you borrow, all charges must be paid.
As a member of Poole Libraries you have access to:
