Dangerous Wild Animals (DWA) Licence Application

The keeping of certain species of exotic, dangerous or wild animals link will open in new window is controlled by the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.

You can use this application form to apply for the above licence.

The applicant will be required to pay the cost of inspections carried out by the Council's authorised Veterinary Surgeon or Veterinary Practitioner. You will also need to download the vets pack reporting form for this.

The forms are available in 2 formats -

  • a pdf version to print off and complete or
  • a Word version to download and type into which allows you to keep an electronic copy.First Application or renewal, per animal £155.00
