Home Care Services

The Bororgh of Poole maintains a registered Gerneric Domiciliary Care Service to meet the needs of those who have been assessed as requiring this service.  The service operates 7 days a week between 7 am and 10.30 pm. Charges for this service are assessed according to Fairer Charging.  The registered manager is Jean Quinton. 

In many instances care is provided by independent Care Agencies who work in partnership with the Borough.

Rehabilitation Home Care

Meal Delivery Service

A meal delivery service is provided every day by Agincare so that residents who are unable to cook for themselves are able to get hot meals delivered to their own home. Payment is made direct to the driver.

The service has a wide range of menu options, it also caters for cultural needs and most special dietary requirements, such as diabetic, vegetarian and gluten-free.

Mobile Night Care

This is a registered Borough of Poole Service which provides personal care at night 7 days a week between 10.00 pm and 6 am to those who have been assessed as needing this service. Charges for this service are assessed according to Fairer Charging.  The registered manager is Pat Crawford.

PICS (Poole Intermediate Care Service)

Poole Intermediate Care Service (PICS) is a new joint service for adults and older people in the Borough of Poole designed to:

  • to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital/residential care
  • to facilitate rapid discharge from hospital
  • support carers at times of crisis.

Supported Living Service for People with Learning Disabilities

This service currently supports 41 adults with learning disabilities. The aim of the service is to enable people with learning disabilities to maintain their tenancies and live a fulfilling lifestyle. The service is run in partnership with East Boro Housing Trust.
